J. Claiborne Thornton is the president and founder of Industrial Environmental Consultants (IEC), which opened its doors in 2013. He is married to his wife, Lana, and they have three children. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, he earned a BS in Engineering. A practiced environmental engineer, he is an expert in evaluation, investigation, and resolution of potential environmental risks faced by various industries. Currently, his focus is in the recycling sector as another market to serve and help propel IEC to the next level.
Pamela Holt Executive Assistant
Pam Holt attended Tennessee Tech University earning a BS in Business Management. Although acting as the Executive Assistant under Claiborne, President of IEC, Pam also provides administrative assistance to the rest of the staff and helps out wherever she can.
Ashlee Philbrick Office Manager
Ashlee Philbrick attended Murray State University earning a dual BS in Sociology and Psychology. Acting as the Office Manager, she ensures the office operates smoothly and efficiently by organizing work orders and staff travel. She also partners with the senior leadership team to maintain high-quality administrative organization.
John Thornton Chief Operations Officer
John Thornton previously held various licenses as an individual financial advisor, registered stock broker, and investment advisor. With a specialty in sales training, sales-process improvement, and operations & management consulting, John oversees IEC operations. Employing direct leadership practices, John provides admin-support to Claiborne and assists with workflow management.
Graham McRedmond Project Manager
Graham McRedmond attended Vanderbilt University earning a BS in Biology, and also attended Tennessee Technological University earning his PE in Civil & Environmental Engineering. Since joining IEC in 2013, Graham continues to use his experience and knowledge to provide top-tier engineering and consulting services.
Lydia Crabtree Program Manager
Lydia Crabtree attended the University of North Alabama earning a BS in Industrial Hygiene. She joined the team in 2021 acting as the Environmental, Health, and Safety Program Manager.
Tanner Mikell Environmental Consultant
Tanner attended Georgia State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a minor in Geology. Hired as an Environmental Consultant, he performs on-site inspections, creates digital maps with AutocadĀ®, and works in the lab to help prepare reports.
